Robert GreggParticipantNice Jeff,
About how much tissue do you think you removed? It looks like about 3mm of new clinical crown…
Bob
BenchwmerSpectatorThere was a core build was done w/ bonded composite, that makes it look like more exposed tooth.
I only exposed a mm or so of crown.
Can’t impinge on biologic width.

Andrew SatlinSpectatorHi Jeff,
Looks good. I see a fair amount of cases like this and I feel that they are among the most difficult to treat with conventional resective surgery. You made it look easy.
I was curious if you used the standard 360um fiber for this case.
Andy
ASISpectatorHi Jeff,
Looks good.
What’s the deal with biological width? I’ve noticed it being mentioned in a couple of your posts. An inside joke?
Andrew
BenchwmerSpectatorAndy, Andrew,
All my Nd:YAG cases are now done using the 360micron contact fiber from MDT, Before this year I used 320 micron fibers. These new fibers seem more durable.
The reference to biologic width come from my Dental Town Case presentations and a case published in the DTown magazine in February, one anti-laser heckler could not get off me on biologic width. Glenn and others now include pictures w/ a perio probe on laser cases to keep the subject from starting again.
ASISpectatorHi Jeff,
Thanks for the background.
The use of a probe is indeed a good reference for all, not just to quiet the peanut gallery.
Andrew

You can pick your own color/ or colors.
Jeff
Robert GreggParticipantNice, Jeff………..and NOW you can pick the color of your laser too……to match your operatory or color scheme.
