Glenn…Great job!! I haven’t talked to anyone who has used the Isolite. I’m glad to hear you like it. I will have to give it a try. Do you recall how much it cost?

One thing I have been doing on restorations like these to finish is to place an unfilled resin over the top, or sometimes just prep the Fuji IX back a 1/2 mm, and place flowable over the top. As I can imagine, however, I’m sure you were on the move working on a 4 year old. I have been impressed by how well these Fuji IX restorations hold up under occlusal loading.

I had a little chuckle when you mentioned that the Mom was not happy with a “Fluoride” filling. God forbid you would place a restoration that might actually help prevent a new cavity (that’s my online sarcasm).

Hi Kelly: its tough sometimes to get something that is new and worthwhile to post on. The isolite really helped and on a 4 year old yet.

Its around 1000 dollars and there is a short learning curve but it is cool and she really was good with it .

It isolates, suctions , illuminates (not important for me with the scope), retracts tongue and cheek and has a bite block.

It doesnt always work and the bite blocks are disposable throwaways and are 2.50 or so US per mouth prop.

I think the suction works great and there is a resin inhibitor to help out.

I thought about a flowable but I was worried about keeping it dry…….she was good though.

The inventor is a dentist and he did a nice job…….its not perfect but with the various sizes it is alot better.

Anybody know if the transformer for the isolite is available for 220-250hz ie for asia/australia. Because there is a huge market for this out here. nice case as usual Glenn

Hi there: I am not sure about the transformer but they are really only selling the Isolite in the USA at present.

I know they have big plans though.

In addition I will mention to Mickey that Marks spoons are very small and very sharp with a really neat design.

I dont get paid for them and paid for mine but they are really great and well worth the money. Mine are still sharp , dont know how but they stay sharp.

Cool shapes and nice small sizes to alot of his other instruments too…..

I GIVE THEM 2 BIG THUMBS UP.
