I have been reading that the Nd:Yag is one of the wavelengths that can be used for laser hair removal…..Bob, Have u ever tried? Is it a question of a cahnge of handpiece because it seems the wavelength is one of the ones for hair removal….Just curious…Interesting question.
The Nd:YAGs are FR pulsed, and using relatively lng pulse durations of 1000 usec.
One of our doctors is using a 600 micron fiber and 650 usec to remove unwanted hair, since the longest PD we have is 650.
I’m waiting for a report, but results seem to be promising.

My first hair transplant was done by an oral surgeon without an M.D. degree. Florida boards are very conservative and a great deal of controversy was created.
Think of it this way: Most of us would not want physicians bleaching teeth.

I was only thinking about upper lip….
I plan on taking a botox/collagen filler course this summer for use around the mouth…I spoke to NY Boards and their liberal definition is “along as it pertains to oral health”…When I asked if a beautiful smile and oral health go hand in hand he said in a roundabout way….yes
