Looks great after one week.
My concern will be if it reoccurs. Without penetrating the lesion, did you allow for destruction of the inner vessel walls. You drained the lesion, but did you destroy it?
Using a fiber tip allows you to open, destroy the inner walls and allows for drainage and then the body resorbs the lesion.

Thanks Jeff, I have been told that I should have used 6-8 watts of power with the CO2 but I chickened out. I do have another one to be done very soon. I would like to use the diode for this one. Any suggestions on the procedure that is different than before. By the way if it returns then I will know better next time and have a chance to share that as well. That’s what I was hoping this forum was all about and from your post – it is. Thanks again.

I have two hemangioma cases up in the Nd:YAG section of LDF.
Just got my Summer 2004 issue of ESOLA Journal of Oral Laser Applications today. It has 4 cases of treating hemangiomas, CO2 Laser Therapy for Intraoral Memangiomas, Lambrecht, Stubinger and Hodel. In all cases the lesions were all removed for biopsy vs. ablation. Healing was still taking place after a month post-op. It lists 2 pages why the CO2 should be for hemangioma tx vs. Nd:YAG. They used 4W superpulsed, CW.
