Here is a case I started a bit ago, just cemented it today. I video taped this case, but had to cement it without the benefit of video. This happens to be my wife! No preop, due to the video of the first part of it, and Glenn, I did the prep under a scope…at Bob Barr’s office, very cool, impressed the missus!

    Here’s the prep:

Here’s the Full Lip view (she wouldn’t let me show her face!):

    And a close up view:

She had a class IV fracture on the MI edge for years, done by another practitioner, with no success of matching composites for years, so I convived, uh, convinced her to let me do a veneer prep, which we video taped for the DVD coming out, she was a real trooper. What’s interesting in all the cases I have done, either laser crown preps, or veneer preps, when I remove the temporaries, they NEVER have any pain with air, etching, water, etc….whereas with a drilled prep, most of the time, the patient is so sensitive.
In addition, I find that ALL my laser preps fit better than any diamond/burr prepared tooth for some reason. Margination is always excellent. Glenn, with magnification, we both can really see the fit…as you have shown many times with your photos.

Mark, Great stuff. So, does the wife go along with getting a scope?
When is the DVD coming out?
Gee, if you have changed your wifes mind about getting a scope– Maybe I should do some veneers on Susan!!!!

    Hi Mark,

Very nice result. A brave man you are. I did an upper central poreclain crown on my wife some years ago. I sweated over her treatment. Difficult as it is to do a single central, never mind on your own spouse.

A calculated move on your part though to get your wife on side for the scope. How can she deny you now?

That dreaded little dark triangle! A papilla augmentation may be worthwhile if it bothers her.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Beautiful case!

(I know how you can get a new laser. Tell her you can take that pigmented brown spot above her right canine!)

    Microscope first, though, I agree…….

    Thanks Stu,
If it wasn’t my wife, it wouldn’t be so beautiful, do you agree? 😉
