Please excuse this basic question from a complete newbie to lasers… Can anybody tell me what procedures can be done with a diode laser like the Deka Smarty800? What kind of laser would you guys recommend for somebody new to the technology?

Probably a better place to start is- what do you want to do with the laser? The answer to this will help determine which wavelength you should look at.

I thought of using it for perio procedures, cosmetic gingival contouring, crown lengthening, endo, bleaching. I am not really sure what can be done with it but would like to start getting involved in laser dentistry. I read DAAL to get a basic background but would like more info from guys using the technology. Strange situation, not knowing enough to know which questions to ask….
