I have been using the Elexxion Diode for soft tissue treatments for the last 2yrs; great laser!very happy with it.
I lost my perio protocol and wounder if there are any users out there using this laser for perio pocket elimination, and if so what is the exact protocol?
    Thanks

    Hi Mickey,

we are just developing a new protocol with 30 W peak-power and a pulse duration of 10 µs at 4.000 – 5.000 Hz. That means an average power of 1.2 – 1.5 W.

Meanwhile there are nearly 100 patients treated with excellent results. I send you the email-adress of the dentist who leads the development of the new protocol via PM.

    Greetings Olaf,

What is the difference between a clinical protocol and laser operating parameters (LOP) in your new perio pocket approach?

My appreciation of LOP is that once you exceed, say 30 Hz in a fiber delivery system with some peak powers–regardless of the pulse duration–one has a hot piece of fiber optic glass after the fiber spends any time in tissue. How does your new clinical pprotocol account for that lateral collateral effect against the periodontal ligamant (PDL)?

    Thanks,

    Bob
