the Laser Odyssey is Dr. Maiman’s account of the history of events that led up to his discovery of the ruby laser and the politics that surrounded it.

It is a good read and shows just how complex inventions like the laser really are, even though today we take them for granted and can pick them up for less than &#365! You also get a glimpse into the life of this amazing man and a new appreciation for the technology we are now using in our offices every day.

If anyone is interested in getting a copy of the book please let me know. The Vancouver Laser Group has access to a large supply.

Paul , a sincere thank you for all your efforts with one of the few laser study clubs that doesnt visit Hooters, but if Kimmel and Albert came to Vancouver, we would!!

To get my own copy of the book , autographed yet , well that is wonderful and I sincerely thank you for all your efforts this year.

It was a blast and continued success studying for Part 1 of the ALD multiple choice exam.

That does it. If we need to help out a follow Laser study club we will make the effort to do so. I’ll talk with Albert but I for one will make the trip to Vancover so thier study club can meet at Hooters. Its the least I can do!!

Hey David, we are planning to have a one day symposium here in Vancouver where Dr. Maiman will be the key note speaker and I will try to get Bob Gregg, and I would love to have Mark Colonna come to speak. I might speak on Osseous or magnfication and lasers. Maybe you want to come and speak on how to make laser dentistry profitable.

Anyone else want to come to Vancouver next year?/

God if it gets too big we might have to do two days all on different brands and different things related to lasers.

How about Early to mid spring, anyone got any ideas. Paul is organizing it but I am trying to find the speakers.
