    Hi Alfred,

    Good to hear from you…..

In thinking about it, in watching Dr. Jorgen Slot’s set-up at his microbiology lab at USC, anaerobic cultures are grown in controlled humid incubators, and the light is low or off.

The intensity of pulse Nd:YAG 1064, we know from lots of studies KILLS them dead (Horton, Liu, Cobb, Witters, Mellnonig, Harris).

Could other bandwidths of intense light that is allowed to scatter also have a bacteriacidal effects? Maybe.

What Dr. Stambaugh and I were talking at the time, as I recall now, had more to do with biostimulation, as White Light has a bunch of wavelengths that are known to be involved in biostim–like Red at 600-700nm.

We’ve got lots to learn still.

I know you’re big on adjusting occlusion with LPT so I know that is done. The fill is short and I would retreat now that the bone is filling, and I’d try the LPT again. There does look to me that there may be a fracture at the level of the tip of the post. I think the idea of removing the pontics and doing implants sounds good. Sure looks like that tooth is overloaded.
I’ve been having great success with some very shaky 9+ pockets that are shrinking up fantasticly after Periolasing. It seems to sterilize the pockets very well and I find I get more irritation with antibiotics in the pocket than not.
Good luck and see you in a few weeks.
