I need to reduce in thickness a graft above #11-12 that is cosmetically not good. It has both a pale color and thick tissue with a noticeable overlapping margin. How would I accomplish contouring this tissue with my Waterlase? ss

    ss,
kind of hard to answer w/o a picture but there are two ways to approach this.-
    1. ablate the tissue
    2. incise the excess tissue
It sounds like maybe you can just ablate the excess and blend things in.
The more fibrous the tissue, the more energy you will need.

I would say that you could use a chisel tip, around 1 watt-1.5 watts with little water and lots of air and reduce it slowly in the same way that we create an ovoid pontic with the erbium.

It works really well………its simple as well.
