Interesting site David. Is that for Advanced or Educator status with ALD?
Unfortunately, the site is wrong with its history and sadly inaccurate about the invention of the LASER. Townes no more invented the LASER than Gene Roddenberry invented the cell phone. Just because they may have thought about it. In fact Townes said it couldn’t be done.

Of course when you come up to Vancouver to speak at our Symposium in April you can get the real story first hand as you will more than likely be sitting next to the actual inventor of the LASER – Dr Theodore Maiman. Who deserved a Nobel but never received one!

And David …….no we are not going to give you Allen Williams name badge so you can debate with Maiman why Townes invented the laser!!
